The Island of Majorca: A Guide to the Family Friendly Resorts

As far as the Balearic Islands are concerned, Majorca is perfect for family fun holidays in the sun. Just a couple of hours in the sky and you will arrive on this beautiful island; jam packed with resorts that will do you and your brood proud. Majorca family holidays are some of the most popular options for summer breaks and it’s easy to see why. If you’re looking for a last minute break, take a look at the Majorca options from the Thomas Cook holidays summer 2013 selection – you won’t be disappointed.

If you’ve finalised on a break in Majorca, now’s the time to consider which resort will most suit you and your children. While it’s a popular island for party animals, not all the resorts are centred on boozy clubbers. Take a look at some of these great family favourites and start organising your well-deserved break.

Alcudia

This deep-rooted resort is a popular haven for families of all ages. With the sea, sand and waterparks on your doorstep and blue skies above you, Alcudia has got it all.

Make sure you visit the family favourite, The Maze for some mind-bending antics or head for the S’Albufera natural park to get closer to nature.

Cala Millor

Nestled on the east coast of the island, Cala Millor is a popular resort for families looking for plenty of relaxation and quality time together. Whether you head for the go-kart tracks, the horse-riding centres or the water-sports centres is up to you but you can guarantee that if an active holiday is what you yearn, you’ll find it here.

Palma Nova

While it’s not too far from its busy Magaluf neighbour, Palma Nova appeals to families too. With Blue Flag beaches, waterparks, pirate shows and mini-golf courses, there’s plenty to do if you want a break from the pool.

Take your pick from these, or any of the other resorts on the island, for a fun-filled family break this summer.
