This year I’m all about following my bliss. From playing with my children to dancing in the rain I believe that if you are happy being where you are you’ll always find bliss. This year I’m enjoying my life more and that also means in the kitchen. One reason I started talking about organic foods years ago and posting recipes was to inspire other moms to create healthy, whole, and beautifully prepared meals for their families. I believe that good food doesn’t have to be hard to make and it doesn’t have to be expensive either. With easy tools and a little hard work you can beautifully craft your own meals. Real food tastes better too! It’s part of enjoying a more blissful life – I’m learning to enjoy my food and enjoy spending time in the kitchen.
So to inspire my fellow foodies to find their bliss in the kitchen I wanted to give away one of my favorite things of all time. I’m going to give one lucky reader of mine a KitchenAid® Classic Series 4.5-Quart Tilt-Head Stand Mixer.
The KitchenAid® Classic Series Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is for your standard recipes. The 4.5-quart stainless steel mixing bowl and 10 speeds easily mixes, kneads and whips your favorite ingredients. For even more versatility, the power hub is designed to use the motor’s power to operate optional attachments from food grinders to pasta makers and more.
So I want to inspire you to follow your bliss this year. Enjoy the sweet moments a little more, be a little kinder to your neighbors and loved ones. And maybe even bake a few more batches of cookies. If this giveaway goes well I may give a stand mixer away every month, or maybe I’ll chose to give away some of my other most favorite things! I will also personally ship you a card with a note from our family to yours.
So tell me how are you following your bliss?

Like Jenn I try to follow my bliss by more “me” time. I’ve taken to at least enjoying a nice uninterrupted shower so that I can sort of “zen” out. Other ways I try to follow my bliss is to actively remind myself to stop and take a breath. Look at what is around me and be in the moment.
I follow my bliss by giving myself more “me” time — something I’ve been denying myself of for the past several years.

I have lost my bliss so much in life, and with disabling illness it sits on the horizon mostly. Until. Until I realized that an illness does not a person make. And the years going by made me realize that the bliss moments with my family were going by. So, we play cards, fish, watch movies and go to sports events. My bliss is my family knowing i will die trying to be a participant, even if not ALL the time. It’s true you realize what is important when you cant REALize what is important. Goodnight kisses, a good play in a kids game and the proud smile…the fun humor of our kids and the sweetness of our grandkids. Pure. Bliss
Yesterday when I was driving I was thinking about how it’s not easy to walk the path I’ve chosen/made for myself, but it’s so very much worth it. I like myself, I like that I stand up for what I believe in and protest what I don’t. I find bliss in liking who I am and not being afraid to be who I am.
I am following my bliss by doing one thing a day for myself. Today it was entering a few giveaways. Tomorrow it will be something else. I never know.
