I’m feeling a little defeated this week. I pushed harder at my runs and doubled up on workouts on weights. I also went to Zumba which left my abs feeling the pain but I felt really good. Half way through the week I admit I jumped on the scale. In shock I was! With strep throat and just not feeling well I ended this week feeling bummed. All this rain also had my mood in the dumps.
Everyone has their ups and downs and while this week was a downer for me I’m hoping to make it up next week. I can feel my body changing but the scale isn’t moving as fast as I’d like it to. This week I had a great learning lesson in taking it easy and not letting all the numbers get to me. I know when I stop making it such an issue it will happen for me. I know I can do this and I will. My goal is still to run a half marathon this fall and I’m working for that goal. Next week I plan on getting the kiddo out of the house and doing some activities that I enjoy. I’m hoping a more active week ill bring my mood up too, even if the rain doesn’t stop.
I’m really excited about the Mamavation 5K that will be taking place soon. Setting a goal and having something to work to, works for me. I want to challenge myself and run this 5K in 40-45 minutes. Since I am essentially working out on my own and motivating myself setting goals like this help to make me accountable. I’m just trying to beat myself and push further. I hope next weeks weigh in will be a breaking point for me.
Using my Omron HJ-323U USB pedometer to track my steps has been a great motivator for me. I’ making sure I wear it every day and keeping track of how active I am. Next week I’l show off all the great features on my Omron 510W Scale. The Full Body Sensor Body Fat and Composition Monitor and Scale is a breakthrough device to measure your body composition at home. It measures 5 fitness indicators including body fat %, BMI, weight and more! The innovative Full Body Sensor is the only at-home body composition monitor that accurately measures your entire body. I can actually really see a change with this scale!
My clothes are starting to get looser and I can feel them becoming too big. They almost make me look larger than I am because they are big. I can tell I have lost inches around my waist because my jeans are all so big on me now. Even the ones that I had to squeeze into not long ago. My shirts are hanging my belt is tighter. My husband has begun to notice a difference too!
Weigh In: Here’s the part I hate to admit…I’m up two pounds since last week.
Weight Totals: I have lost 11 pounds since starting the challenge.
Jean Size: I’m down a size in jeans!! Now a size 12 jeans!
I’d love some healthy snack ideas if you have any. I could use some healthy and fun snacks so I don’t binge on cookies……..

Hi! This is my first visit to your blog! We are a collection of volunteers and starting a
new project in a community in the same niche.
Your blog provided us beneficial information to work on.
You have done a marvellous job!
Woot! It is so inspiring to see how far you have come!! Congrats!
Hooray for loose clothing!! Congrats on the weight loss thus far – that is awesome!
I gained a bit this week too. It happens! I have a picture of muscle vs fat in my current post, it helps explain why you might gain weight!
Tonight, on Mamavation TV, we’re talking about healthy snacks! Perfect timing for your question. 🙂 And hey, you’ve still lost, so chin up. Next week will be different!!
Congratulations on all your success! Keep it up! One of my favorite snacks is: caramel rice cake with 1 tbsp. almond butter and sliced strawberries. If you try it, let me know what you think. Okay, off to burn and blast – have fun with the new workouts!
isn’t the best part when our clothes fit though? It means you are succeeding more than you think! 11 pounds is awesome. 🙂
This was me (EXACTLY) last week … only *I* was up *3* pounds. Ouch! But, it really will even out … and, I bet the new workouts this next week do it for you …. a change up will confuse your body and I bet it goes into full fat burning machine.
Keep it all up!
You are doing good. I know if might feel like a bad week, but you are still doing awesome
