Did you know the USPS has a lot going on this year? I bet you did! In fact, they’ve been making sure we’ve been receiving mail for more than 235 years!!!

The annual Operation Santa program launched yesterday in many locations across the US. This year is extra special, because it marks 100 years of a program that has been delivering Christmas wishes to families in need. The postal elves are extremely dedicated to their efforts. This USA Today article  which provides some compelling stories about the families participating (http://usat.ly/QFrAA8) and visit the Operation Santa info page to learn more.

Also the Letters From Santa program. We have had great feedback from moms and families who are delivering their child an unforgettable gift and memory this year. See how one team member documented his experience on our USPS Holiday Blog! Also feel free to check out the blog for other holiday tips.

Also check out this article through Cheapism/Shine from Yahoo about affordable shipping options this holiday season. You’ll be shocked at USPS’s price advantages!!! So whether you’re sending or receiving gifts this year think about using the United States Postal Service.

I didn’t even know they had an Operation Santa program, that’s awesome! I don’t mail packages too often these days but I used to and I like the “if it fits, it ships” set rates
