Potatoes au Gratin – My #FinishRevolution Sticky Dish Challenge

You are here: Home / Fun Foods for Families / Potatoes au Gratin – My #FinishRevolution Sticky Dish Challenge

Fun Foods for Families

It’s almost Thanksgiving which means we will be doing plenty of cooking and baking. One of the simple dishes that goes a long way with a holiday meal is Potatoes au Gratin. Those cheesy potatoes are oh so good, but the mess they leave behind is not. The perfect Potatoes au Gratin have crusty melted cheese on top.

Potatoes au Gratin Recipe:

Slice potatoes and add grated cheddar and Parmesan cheese and heat 2 cups of milk on the stove. Once headed add the heated milk over the top of the potato and cheese mix.

Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Top with additional cheese and bake until golden brown. If you need a larger serving add more potatoes and milk, you can’t mess up this recipe!

After all the guests have left and the lights are down low you’ve got one mess to clean up. I know if you cook every night of the week like me doing dishes can get old, fast. My dish washing soap has to be as tough as it can to get through all those messes. We already use Finish Dishwashing Detergent because lets face it, it works. I was sent a sample of the Finish Quantum, a product I don’t normally buy but I am now convinced I need to.

These packs had triple the power of what I am used to. Not only did my potato dish come out clean but my other dishes were just as sparkling clean.I was provided with a Williams Sonoma gift card to purchase a dish with and I can easily say I’d trust Finish to clean my best of dishes and my worst of messes.

I don’t have a (real) dishwasher either, well I still have one at home (my 17 yr old) but the other two have moved out lol. I’m planning to have a ham dinner with Au Gratin potatoes for Christmas and have never made them by scratch but now that I found a recipe I will have to give it a try! This recipe sounds easy enough, wish me luck! : )
