Baby’s First Year – 4 Months Old

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / Our Family Journal / Baby’s First Year – 4 Months Old

Our Family Journal

It’s hard to believe that Mia is already 4 months old. I know I say that every month but the time just flips away. No matter how much I live in the moment and try to soak it all in time still just slips away. Mia is 4 months old and she’s just the sweetest thing. My heart literally melts at moments throughout the day and just when I think she can’t get any cuter she does.

Mia is doing all sorts of fun things now. Today for the majority of the day Mia stared at her hands. She’s finally made the connection that it’s her hand. She then proceeds to eat said hands. She’s rolling over like a mad woman and will let you know when she wants to play which is always. She gets so excited and just giggles and laughs. She loves Marley and her big sisters. She doesn’t care much for hanging things above her now since she’s all belly now but she loves small toys. She’s trying to put things in her mouth and has fun wiggling around the floor. Don’t turn your back for long because she’ll be in a different spot in just moments. I know in the next month she’s be pushing herself along like she’s already starting to.

We had our 4 months check up today. Mia is 25 inches long and weighs 14 pounds 12 ozs. She’s in a size 3 diaper already! Her doctor says she’ll be tying to sit up on her own in no time at the rate she is already going. She also said that it’s official Mia will keep her gorgeous blue eyes.  That means that she looks just like her Grandmother and has dark hair with blue eyes. Not surprising since I have siblings with blue eyes and my husbands family has blue eyes. My sweet little blue eyed girl.

Mia tried her first food while I was at Zumba this week. Her big sisters fed her some organic bananas and you can see the video below:

These babies need to stop growing!!! I am feeling sad today with how fast the time is flying by. I miss the babies being little peanuts.

Mia is a cutie and sounds a lot like Shelby.

They all look so much alike, don’t though? What a huge blessing to have such a great family. You always seem so wonderfully close. Congrats on the new one, and I agree, time sure does go fast!

She is such a doll. 4 months really have flown by. My Nathanael is also in this same stage but he is over 20lbs now! He is a chunk. 🙂 He is loving his organic rice cereal now.

Zumba? Haven’t tried it yet. But it sounds like fun!
