American Cancer Society: Making Strides Cancer Walks Around The Country

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / American Cancer Society: Making Strides Cancer Walks Around The Country

Uncategorized

I believe that everyone has been affected by breast cancer in some way or another. I often like to find ways to give to charities that are helping to fight cancer. This year I’ll be running in the American Cancer Society: Making Strides Cancer Walk. I’ve been busy raising money and training myself for the 5 miles I plan on running in Tacoma, Washington. I’ll share more after my local walk in Tacoma on October 13th but there are events happening like this all over the country.

The American Cancer Society is doing the most in every community to help people with breast cancer today and striving to find cures to end the disease tomorrow. The money you give to runners like myself or if you plan on running and raising money to donate you know that all money raised helps make strides against breast cancer. By providing mammograms for early screening, to research to find a cure and the added support you need to fight the American Cancer Society is there to support you.

It’s a honor to run in honor of my Great Grandmother who died from breast cancer and for all of the women who are fighting each day. I run for women everywhere! I think you should take a moment and watch this video it shows a real story about a real woman.

It doesn’t cost anything for you to register for the American Cancer Society: Making Strides Cancer Walk. Find your local walk and sign up today. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the American Cancer Society’s nationwide series of walking events to raise funds and awareness to end breast cancer. Come back for all the photos and story of how my Making Strides Walk goes!
