One Year Into My Invisalign Treatment

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / One Year Into My Invisalign Treatment

Uncategorized

I can hardly believe it has been almost a year since I began my Invisalign treatment. When I started this journey with 17 trays for my upper and 14 for my lower. I just started my refinement and have 14 trays total. I am only at tray 4 out of 14 so there are some over corrections that need to be fixed and some final placement. At the end my teeth will be whitened and I will have a permanent retainer put in.

I can now see a space between my front two teeth which were once crossed. I can feel my teeth start to finally straighten as they start to move into position. My teeth were shaped and in between each of my front teeth they filed down the tooth slightly. I file is really just like sandpaper on a piece of small floss. Nothing major just ever so slightly so your teeth can make room. My front teeth now have proper shape and in the end everything will be evened out. I once chipped one of my front teeth but you’d never know.

I feel like my never ending saga with me hating my smile is finally about to be over. It feels nice.

I know this isn’t the most flattering photo of me on the right hand side but it shows my teeth perfectly. Meh!

The left is me before treatment.
