This year, starting Sept. 1, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF introduces a whole new way for kids to express themselves while raising funds for kids in need around the world. For the first time in the campaigns 62-year history kids will have a chance to design their own collection boxes for the NEW Create-a-Character contest. Winning designs in three categories will become part of a limited-edition collection for the 2013 campaign. The contest will run from Sept. 1 through Oct. 26.
Kids can also Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF with premade boxes featuring a whole new cast of characters for this year, including:
- Vampire (Count Change-ula)

- Princess (Lady Pennyworth)
- Monster (Frank)
- Pumpkin (Patches)
