My Invisalign Journey: Starting Refinement

Before I left to New York I visited my orthodontist to receive my next set of Invisalign trays. My attachments were taken off after I completed my first 17 trays and they took new impressions of my teeth. I have 14 trays to go and my teeth should be perfect. Looking at tray 14 in my orthodontists office I am encouraged by the results.

My orthodontist also shaped my teeth a little before my trip the front is almost straight but far better than when I started. My front two teeth should come down and come together to be straight. I had only 8 attachments this time and they don’t both me near as much as the first ones did at first.

I have 4 sets of trays until I see my orthodontist again and so far I love how my trays fit. Because my first trays started with my teeth rotated by the end none of the trays quite fit right. These fit so food, they’re moving my teeth and don’t bother me at all. I’m just getting used to wearing them again all the time.

So far so good, here we go into refinement!

The new methods in orthodontics has reduced the pain and other problems, which were faced by everyone in metal braces. The new methods like invisalign are less painful and can be easily removed. The best part is that they are invisible and doesn’t cause any pain like traditional metal braces.

It’s such a great process! I am finally done with trays and my retainers have been ordered. My bottom retainer is one with a spring because we have one final tooth to move. It’s so exciting for us! 🙂

My dentist keeps trying to talk me into trying invisalign and I’m hesitant.. I had braces when I was a kid and my teeth shifted back, not to where they were before but not straight, so I’m nervous about trying something again, spending the money, and having it not work. Good to see that it’s working for you though! I’m curious to see how it works for you. I might ask about it again at my next appointment.
