These days being parents, my husband and I come to many agreements on many things. One thing that we fully agree on is those moments and times that are special. Having 2 kid and 1 soon to be here, we get little time together alone without the kids. Unless we take a trip and leave the kids with family, we get little time with just the 2 of us. Even now, if we get rid of the kids, we still have one waiting to be born, but we still get can get some peace and quieter time.
We rarely get that quiet and alone time at home. The kids are up early in the morning, or Del is gone to work when the kids may still be asleep. Right now with Kai being in school sometimes we can get some morning time when Brooklin is still in bed, but she is an early riser so that is not very often. The other time of day that we get some time for just us is at night, but by then it is wind down time and we just sit around and talk and take care of family matters.
The beginning of the day is one of the best times of day, and that is something we both agree on. And Del likes his morning coffee, so it is nice to be able to wake up and begin the day with some peace and calming time before it is non-stop. When Brooklin wakes up she is full of energy so that means everyones day is to begin. So when we get up without her and Kaila is off to school, this is one of the few special moments that we can focus on each other and prepare for the day ahead.
Our favorite coffee moments are before the kiddos wake up, where we can connect before we both go our separate way for the day. It allows us to regroup and talk about what may happen that day. We always gather at the kitchen table for breakfast and start our day that way. For us it’s the perfect way to start our day. We had a chance to check out the new International Delight packaging and our Coldstone loving family picked up the Coldstone Sweet Cream creamer. It’s a simply delightful way to start the day and will perk up any cup of joe.
