It wouldn’t be an Oregon summer without sweet, juicy berries showing up in everything from beer to pies! You’re sure to find both at the second annual Oregon Berry Festival, July 20th & 21st, 2012 at the Ecotrust event spaces in Portland. Visitors will have a chance to taste and buy some of the season’s best berries and also sample amazing products made with Oregon’s berry bounty. Admission is free for all events at the Ecotrust, located at NW 10th& Johnson in Portland. Hours will be from noon to six on Friday, July 20thand 11 AM to 4:30 PM on Saturday, July 21st.

The Oregon Berry Festival will feature family centric entertainment all day on the Bluesberry Stage. There will be a children’s area with games, activities and a visit from Ima Blueberry, as well as cooking demonstrations for all ages. An elegant Gala Berry Dinner will be held on Saturday, July 21st at the Heathman Hotel. Tours of local farms, a chance to win raffle prizes and lots more will help round out the 2012 Oregon Berry Festival.

I use to hear a lot about Oregon watching The Roloffs on tv. Loved that show! Seems Oregon always has something great going on.

Yum, who doesn’t love berries! Sounds like so much fun for the family, wish we had something like that here.
