We moved into our new home last fall and with two small children we’re already thinking about our yearly deep carpet cleaning. Yes, every year we have our carpets cleaned.   8. I write a list of projects that need to get done from hardest to easiest. Then I complete each task before I move on to the next one.

  19. I like to avoid spring cleaning if at all possible! Honestly, I try to break it up room by room and spread the work out over a week or so so that I do not get overwhelmed. I also clean out closets to get rid of excess clothing and stuff that no longer fits.

  58. I move all the winter bedding, clothes etc to the basement and bring up the spring/summer stuff. Then I clean all the floors, curtains, etc

  64. I have a list in Excel of all of my spring cleaning chores. Honestly, it takes me a few months, because I do it as I have time, not all at once.

  134. I try to do one room at a time, or I’ll do all the windows at once one day, then all baseboards the next. I have to break it down like that or I get way too overwhelmed.

  165. I spring clean by throwing out stuff that I don’t use, and organizing and cleaning all the stuff that’s left. There’s no point in having a bunch of junk sitting around!

  178. I Spring Clean by shampooing all my carpets, and going through drawers and closets and re organizing. Go through the kids toys and clothes

  186. Oh lord, you don’t want to know. I get a notebook, and I start at the entrance to my home and i write down every little tiny thing that can be cleaned & fixed for each room. Then I go to each porch, and the yard. I grab a stack of boxes that follow me from room to room – each labeled arts, juju’s room, bathroom, toss, donate, etc and I start filling boxes as I go. Eventually all t6he boxes get sorted and things get put back in their homes. I soak blinds in a weak bleach solution and sun them. I soak all toys. Pack up Winters & pull out summers. It goes on and on and on. Usually Spring cleaning last a coupe weeks and is done before Easter. This year we all got sick and it’s been really drawn out. Great timing though – I haven’t had my carpets done yet!

  193. I dust EVERYTHING and usually scrub down the walls in every room with lysol and water!

  202. 1st Entry: We clean our windows inside and out. I also power wash the back deck. We need our carpets cleaned, so this giveaway rocks for us!

  218. i clean the house a little more thoroughly – clean out the fridge, wash walls, etc.

  222. We have the carpets cleaned since we have so much of it! Also, open all the windows to get lots of fresh air.

  224. Start in the closets to see if there are things we do not wear any longer than go to the rest of that room and then windows and finally the carpets.

  225. I always start by cleaning out the kitchen cupboards, then I move on to cleaning out the closets!
