Family Travel With Kids

Through my blog I’ve been able to do a number of charity projects. It’s very important to myself and my husband that we give back to our local community and we’ve been lucky to be able to partner with companies that also share that same drive. This week we finished up our Champions for Kids SIMPLY Service Project. Last week we went shopping at our local WalMart  for some supplies to help kick start our sports equipment drive. This drive is our SIMPLY Service Project.

We are helping Champions For Kids an organization that helps provide training and resources to communities. A Simple Service Project like the one we are doing can touch so many lives and we are so happy to be able to support Champions For Kids and help our local community.

We first started out with advertising the fact that we wanted to collect used sports equipment in our community newsletter. Our HOA is delightful and was more than happy to allow us to have our drive at the community center here. We had quite a few neighbors show up and we were very thankful for the tennis rackets and other used balls that they donated plus the kids had a great time.

We also wanted to showcase some of our favorite healthy treats and offer our wonderful neighbors snacks for coming by and donating.

We actually contacted our local Boys and Girls Club to make our donation and were very thankful they let us take pictures of our donation. I think the best part of this project was actually being able to help local children and they loved the bubbles and chalk for the upcoming warm months. The great thing about SIMPLE Service Projects is that you don’t have to do a lot to make a difference.

Were so happy to be able to help our community!Find out more about Champions For Kids by visiting their website : https://championsforkids.org/ You can also find them on twitter at: https://twitter.com/#!/champions4kids: Also on Facebook: www.facebook.com/ChampionsForKid

Why not create a simple service project of your own?

We always like to do good when we can, and we especially like to show our kid(s) how easy it is to help and tell them how much that little bit of help makes other people’s lives better!!! Great message we need to teach this new generation. Kai is all for doing good and being positive.

Nice collection of equipment! Love the Boys and Girls club in our area, too. Hope your little girl had as much fun with this project as mine did.
