My Invisalign Journey – Look!!

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / Our Family Journal / My Invisalign Journey – Look!!

Our Family Journal

I have 0 trays left for my bottom teeth and 3 more trays to over-correct what’s been done for my top teeth and then I go into refinement. During this period my teeth will get another mold and that will be shipped back off to Invisalign where they will create a plan for any fine tuning that needs to be done.

That said, my bottom teeth are at the last tray but my one tooth that was pushed behind my other teeth in front is not straight. My hope is that this gets fixed during refinement or somehow during this last tray. My top front teeth look great.

It’s hard to believe when I see pictures like this…

While I may be happy with my actual orthodontist and his office staff, my experience with the office manager has been not good. I must say my experience with the Invisalign product has been perfect. When I say it works, it truly does work! Your orthodontist is just your link between the product and your service.

I highly suggest that you interview several orthodontist or dentists offices and choose the one who has a great reputation and experience, but who also spends time with you to let you know what to expect down the road. The office manager SHOULD provide all the needed information, but if you have questions unanswered or not provided be sure to ask questions and what benefits their office has over others.

When a service for your teeth can cost upwards of $7,000 (mine cost $6,450) to straighten your teeth, it is a very important decision, regardless of paying out of pocket or deductible by insurance. It is a life lasting decision and should be given a lot of thought. I will be with my current orthodontist for 1 and half years in total, so I want a positive experience from the beginning to the end.

How do you decide on a dentist or orthodontist?

FTC DISCLOSURE: As part of the Invisalign program, my treatment was provided for free in exchange for sharing my experience with my readers and those who come to this post via search in seeking out personal experiences with the Invisalign product. I will always be honest with my experience as I still have another year of treatment. I currently am no longer associated with Invisalign. Also even though I was directed to the office to get my treatment from, I am and have never been associated with my current orthodontists office in any way.

I have thought about this for some time now. I am glad to hear it is working. I was always wondering about them.

Are all cost’s different or the same? Do they accept insurance also?

    Thanks

It is my dream to someday fix my teeth too. Dentist fear and money hold so many people back. 7k is a lot to pay for dental work, but a healthy happy smile has to be worth a hundred times that! Congrats on your new smile, even if your experience with a certain doc was substandard

Nice teeth! My daughter had braces for over two years. I wished Invisalign was covered for her but it wasn’t, I’m just glad her under bite was taken care of and her teeth are straight 🙂 Sorry to hear your experience with your orthodontist wasn’t the greatest but glad you enjoyed using Invisalign and have nice looking teeth 🙂
