Mineral Sunblock – NEW! Brush On Block

You are here: Home / Healthy Family Lifestyle / healthy hygiene / Mineral Sunblock – NEW! Brush On Block

healthy hygiene

As the first in a series of innovative sunscreen products, Brush On Block is a dry, brush-on mineral-based powder sunscreen with SPF 30, offering substantial UVA and UVB protection without the use of unwanted, harmful chemicals. FDA-approved and recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation, this refillable sunscreen is sweat-proof, water-resistant and wont sting eyes, making it a one-of-a kind, revolutionary sun protection product. Co-founder, Andrea Wetsel is part of the driving force behind buzzed-about Brush On Block.

In partnership with her husband, Andrea began a small business in Portland that has grown to include over 225 employees and 6 locations. In late 2011, she began looking for additional investment and management opportunities and was introduced to Susan Posnick through mutual friends. As a professional makeup artist with her own line of high-end cosmetics, and a skin cancer survivor, Susan was passionate about sun protection. As both a mother and outdoor enthusiast, Andrea had become crazy about putting sunscreen on her young girls. She lived the daily battle of fighting to get sunscreen on them and fell in love with the idea of making sun protection easy and convenient for the whole family.

Andrea and Susan collaborated to develop Brush On Block invisible SPF 30 sun protection that is quick and convenient, and Andrea learned a lot about the dangers of the sun in the process. It isnt just about sunburn. When you realize that skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the US, and that one in five Americans will develop skin cancer in the course of a lifetime, you become pretty passionate about sun protection. One person dies of melanoma every hour, yet it is the most preventable form of cancer, when proper precautions are taken.”Andrea has also become passionate about educating young children on the long-term benefits of protecting your skin from the sun.

Being sun smart doesnt mean you cant have an active lifestyle. You just need to take proper precautions, including using sunscreen. We were sent this new innovative product and can easily say I think it’s going to be great for my kids and myself. Even better for applying sunblock to our faces!
