Fighting Hunger Together With WalMart

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Walmart Foundation for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Did you know that more than 50 Million Americans don’t know where their next meal will come from? Generally charities see a drop in food donations around this spring and summer months so I am so happy to see some great companies doing something to help with this gap.

Walmart is working with Feeding America and four big brands you all know and love ConAgra, General Mills, Kraft and Kellogg’s.  The Fighting Hunger Together initiative from Monday, April 9 through April 30.

To help out you can look inside WalMart stores or visit their Facebook page.

Do you have a community that needs support?  Between April 9th and April 30th Walmart will be hosting a Facebook campaign and Vote to fight spring hunger with Walmart

There are 200 communities with the highest numbers of unemployment that WalMart is trying to help. Your vote for one of these communities will help greatly.  Walmart will donate a total of $2 million to the 21 communities receiving the most support. WalMart will also donate $1 million to the winner and $50,000 each to the 20 runners-up.

To participate in stores by purchasing select products from ConAgra, General Mills, Kraft and Kellogg’s. Look for that in-store signage and packaging that will help guide you to make a purchase and help make a difference.

What a great thing Walmart is doing, with so many in need this is awesome. I will definitely look for the select products to purchase when shopping.Unfortunately my city is on the list and I have voted, I hope we end up in the top 21 community’s to receive help. Thanks for bringng awareness to this great campaign.
