Earth Day Recipe: Global Granola Bars

You are here: Home / Fun Foods for Families / Earth Day Recipe: Global Granola Bars

Fun Foods for Families

I really wanted to make some fun and healthy granola bars for Earth Day and my husband suggested we take them global so that’s exactly what we did.

I started with a few simple ingredients: ( all of them are not pictured below)

  • 2 cups granola
  • 1 cup blueberry’s
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • sliced pears
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg

I ended up adding quite a bit extra than what is in this picture.

I simply added all the ingredients to a bowl and mixed it up. I did not add in the sliced pears.

Bake the mixture at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

I cut out circles with a small cup and added the sliced pears on top to make continents.

Oh, yum. We always take snacks-on-the-go … this post caught my eye because of the “Earth Day” component – neat idea. Even though one of my kids is a picky eater, granola/power bar type foods are always a yes for her!

They look great, thanks for sharing – I’ll give them a try!
