The Value of Platinum Jewelry

Around the Home

I always said when I got married I wanted a unique vintage wedding ring set in platinum. When I married my husband he made my dream come true with gorgeous Tiffany & Co. platinum and gold rings. I also got a gorgeous unique ring that I had so longed for. My ring is exactly me and I wouldn’t want anything else.

I always thought the look of platinum was just classy and I truly wanted a ring that I would want for a lifetime. Did you know that now the price of platinum per the price of an once of gold is now lower? Amazing right? I still am in shock! Those gorgeous precious platinum rings we girls have always dreamed of are now one step closer to becoming a reality because it’s now affordable to have that ring you always wanted.

Now ladies don’t worry that dreamy ring is still more than dreamy.  This does not mean the retail price of platinum is less than gold, just that platinum’s premium is less, and because it is a denser and more pure metal than gold, it is a better value for its cost. See now tell your bargain shipper of a man that and he’ll see not only the beauty but the value in this precious metal.

Want to know more about platinum?

Platinum is a naturally white metal, which means it will never fade or change color. Now white gold is created by adding an alloy mix to pure yellow gold that removes its yellow color and creates a white look. White gold may need to be redipped every few years to keep its color. I had no idea!!!

Because of platinum’s coloring it will not cast any color onto the diamonds, which allows those diamonds to shine bright.  I get compliments all the time on how shiny my diamonds are and now I know why!

I can now see why every celeb has jewels that shine bright. I also better understand why every little girl dreams of her perfect ring. I’m so glad I found my forever ring and if you’re looking for a ring or other jewelry now is the time to buy this precious metal.

Thanks for sharing this information. I have always worn yellow gold jewelry but now I prefer the white gold look more. I wasn’t aware white gold jewelry would eventually need to be redipped every few years or so. nice to know that platinum jewelry doesn’t need this.
