Parent Unit

As any new or expecting parent realizes, having a way to monitor your sleeping newborn is very important. Lucky we live in the 21st century and the tools to monitor our precious ones while still doing what you need to do is a convenience that many parents can respect. Remember it is always the parent responsibility to make sure your baby is safe and secure, this is just an added device that makes it that much easier and gives an ease of mind.

The Tommee Tippee closer to nature Digital Video Sensor Pad Monitor is a product that gives you security in a number of ways. It does more than just the traditional voice and sound monitoring because it provides night and day vision, pressure sensor monitor and a long list of other features.

Parent Unit Remote Zoom Feature

So during the day or in the evening, you can see and hear what your baby is doing, but also if you’re not at the parent unit you can also know that your baby is in the right place with the sensisleep pad that slips under the mattress. If there is no movement detected in 20 seconds, the alert system will tell you if it doesn’t sense the baby. This is great for knowing if your baby rolls over and is not in the center of the bed or not moving. It is important that the baby is on their back and not rolling over which can lead to breathing problems.

Some of the tech features include the digital transmission capabilities which include a high strength 2.4 GHz FHSS (frequency hopping spread spectrum) which helps with interference free monitoring. This provides a long distance range up to 1000 feet and has a built in signal indicator to let you know if you’re going out-of-range. There is also an auto-channel feature that provides the best connection.

What makes the parent unit even better is its ability to be used anywhere with its wireless and long range portability. The parent unit video monitor itself includes a zoom function along with a 2.8 inch high quality and full color LCD screen. You can also use the monitor with its talk-back feature to talk to your baby to comfort and reassure your baby with your voice, which is neat because sometimes they only need a little comfort to get back to sleep, or if you’re in the middle of something it allows you to reassure your baby giving you some extra time to finish up what you’re doing. The clear and bright LCD display has options for different languages for use by different people. The monitor also has an on-screen sound level indicator and also a parent unit locator which is great just in case you misplace your parent unit. And to top it, the parent unit also displays the baby’s room temperature along with the ability to adjust the cameras gentle night light by remote control from parent unit.

The Tommee Tippee closer to nature Digital Video Sensor Pad Monitor is a great product that does a number of things to keep our baby safe while she will be sleeping. Make sure to read the read me first material before use to save time and frustration. Setting up the sensisleep pad is important because it alarms based on being setup properly. It takes a second to set up properly, but works perfect when used correctly. But overall this is a great device and will give us that peace of mind that our baby will be well monitored during the day and at night in her crib.
