Just a few short weeks ago I came down with a virus that left me feeling like I got hit by a truck. It’s flu season and I know my family is not done suffering quite yet. I like stocking up on things while they’re on sale but there are also things I just like to keep in the house. This week I participated in a shop from Collective Bias at one of my favorite stores, Safeway.
One of the best ways to fight off colds and the flu is to drink orange juice. Personally my kids have a glass every morning with breakfast. The added vitamins and minerals kids get from things like orange juice just help to keep the body healthy. It’s even more important to drink more when you’re sick to help your immune system so on my list of things to buy was Florida Orange Juice.
After picking up our favorite brand of orange juice I went on to look for medicine. I not only found a wide selection but found that a lot of it is on sale. I’ve found that it’s much easier to buy meds when we’re not sick and stock up so when we do get sick we have it on hand. No parent wants to run out to the store in the middle of the night with a sick child and that’s how it always happens for us so I’ve learned over the years.
Then I wanted to stock up on soups and other food supplies. Soups are on of those things that I also like to find on sale and Safeway had any and every brand you could want to buy at a discount. Safeway’s O organics brands is one of my favorite things about their store and I found my family’s favorite organic soups and foods to stock up on.
I went on to buy numerous other supplies to keep my family healthy and help them get better when the flu does strike again. You can see my entire shop on my Google+ album.
