A New Year, A New Smile!

You are here: Home / Things We Use Reviews / Around the Home / A New Year, A New Smile!

Around the Home

I am now months into my Invisalign treatment and can’t believe how much progress I’ve made. This month my orthodontist shaved down my teeth slightly on the sides so they could fit together. When I started treatment my front tooth was pushed behind my other front tooth. They now sit together straight, the same goes for my bottom. The extreme crowding is gone and I’ve easily adapted to life with Invisalign.

Here’s my updated smile on Christmas with my Invisalign in.

my new invisilign smile new year

We laid out a treatment plan, including another visit back to the ortho to get my teeth to fit together with a little more shaping. I have 17 trays total and I am on tray 6 going into tray 7. After my 17 trays we will re-goo my mouth and send my impressions to Invisalign. I will then go into refinement and the final placement of my teeth will be made. I can’t believe that these trays have changed my life. Boosted my self esteem and finally fixed a smile I’ve hated my whole life. I get to start the new year with a new smile and I promise to smile more in 2012!!

I’m a member of the Mom’s Advisory Board, and I am receiving complimentary Invisalign treatment. I am also a paid T-Mobile blogger. The two are not related in any way.

Invisalign is considered as one of the most innovating procedure used to straighten teeth. Clear aligners are used to straighten teeth unlike wires and brackets which are used with retainers and braces. This is mostly opted by people who do not want the discomfort of wearing metal braces and look odd whenever they open their mouth to speak. There are many benefits of this teeth straightening process.

Shaved some of your tooth off?

From a dental-phobe like myself, that sounds painful.

    Was it?
