Beginning Pregnancy – The Ups and Downs

I think the one thing everyone complains about the most while being pregnant is being so sick. Well that and the giant swollen limbs, the gas, the general uncomfortable that is being pregnant with a 7 pound baby inside you. Each of my pregnancies have been different yet still somewhat the same. In this pregnancy sickness comes and goes, some days are way worse than others. Some days I almost wonder if I really am pregnant because I feel perfectly fine and then…..BAM it hits.

It’s pretty amazing what the human body can do, turn microscopic cells into a breathing human being. It’s something you can’t appreciate until you are a mother. In the early stages of pregnancy I have felt sick off an on, a flood of emotion, and constantly feeling like I’m starving. Like a rabid animal who hasn’t eaten in months, when I find something I can stand I can’t get enough of it. Then that too makes me sick so I move on to something else.

I’m looking forward to actually seeing this tiny being that is inside me continue to grow. I promise not to overload you pregnancy updates and complaints.

What was the worst thing you dealt with while being pregnant?

I think each pregnancy gets harder than the last. When I was preggo with River (my #3), I so wanted to enjoy it. It was one battle after another, I was full of complaints! It’s all so worth it though. Good luck. I hope you have a fast and EASY pregnancy! <3 you!

Being utterly exhausted was the worst part of it. It was so bad I had to lie down after taking a shower. Considering I had a 3 year old and a husband on crutches during the last pregnancy (and being 39) meant I was DONE!

My daughter experienced a lot of dizziness during her pregnancies. She ate a lot of snacks and drank a ton of water to help with that. Congrats on your pregnancy and I hope it’s a smooth ride for you!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am truly happy for you!

The worst I dealt with being pregnant was sciatic nerve pain…ouch!

Ugh, I hear you! I am entering the 2nd trimester now and just hoping that I don’t have the nausea as bad.

I was sick my ENTIRE last pregnancy but not near as sick as I have been the first trimester of this one.

The first 3 or so months of being pregnant with Justin I was constantly sick…couldn’t even keep water down…I had to get a RX for meds to keep the nausea at bay so I could get some sort of nutrition…that and a couple of IV’s in the ER to hydrate me here and there.

Just think…it isn’t forever…and when it’s over, you WILL miss it!
