Caution – Imagination At Work

You are here: Home / Uncategorized / Our Family Journal / Caution – Imagination At Work

Our Family Journal

Her imagination often gets her in trouble. From making a gourmet meal from the dogs food and water bowls to tearing out all of the stuffed animals to make a zoo she’s always busy. It’s not that her imagination gets her in trouble per say  it’s just that it often leads to catastrophic messes. She’s free spirited and we’ve had to continually baby proof our home since she was able to move. In fact, we just added those awful knobs over the door handles, I call them awful because I can’t even work the one on the front door. You often hear my garage door go up and down due to this little issue.

I absolutely love this age, I wasn’t appreciating it it as much as I should have been. She talks up a storm and most of the time a delight to be around. I look back and I forgot how great age 2 is. Her imagination sure keeps her busy during the day.

I’m glad I get to sit back and watch and appreciate it.

I completely understand. I don’t think I appreciated this age as much with my first. Well, that and having my hands full with a new baby. 2 is adorable, curious, creative and busy… exploration often leads to messes and broken things, but with my second I am cherishing it even more. Enjoy it and write down all the best memories to relive again down the road when she is a teenager.

My grandson loves to make piles. He will gather every single toy he owns and put them in one big pile, and then he likes to sit right in the center of it and play! He will be 2 in a month.
