I Can’t Wait To Share These With You….Someday

Our Family Journal

From the moment I became pregnant with my first child I started to write to her. How I felt, what it was like all so that someday she would read it and know what it was like. My childhood is a black hole with no photographs or memories and from the moment I knew I would be a mother I never wanted my children to feel that way.

I started a blog called Pinky’s Journey’s and Adventures where I wrote about my journey and called myself Pinky. Then shortly after Kaila turned 1 I created a blog that I named An Ordinary Life, now Our Ordinary Life. My blog was just posts written about our life. Exactly like I do to this day. Writing to my children so they’d always know exactly how I feel about them at every moment of their life. I wish I knew what my parents thought about me when I was born, the look they had in their eyes when they saw me for the first time. What my 1st birthday was like and my first words and steps. My blog was my place to ensure that my children would know, so I record so that one day I will show them. One day they will read upon my words and know who their mother was personally and emotionally during their childhood, who they were.

I think to myself one day, I will share these words with them. One day they will understand. Someday…

As mom bloggers isn’t this what we do?

I was a foster child and all I have from my chidhood before being placed are three photos. 2 with santa and 1 on my communion. I take so many pics of my baby and also have scrapbooks and write to her so she will always have memories and photos of herself as a child. Digital also makes it easy :o)

    I know how you feel.

Yep, that is exactly what we do. I even have that purpose written in my introduction- so that one day my kids and grandchildren can reflect upon what I have written and see things through my eyes about them!! We figured it out long before them.
