Our Trip To Hagg Lake In Gaston, Oregon – Swimming In Oregon

You are here: Home / Family Travel With Kids / Our Trip To Hagg Lake In Gaston, Oregon – Swimming In Oregon

Family Travel With Kids

Hagg Lake is a lake for swimming, boating, and fishing. It is located outside of Hillsboro, OR in Washington County in Oregon.

Hagg Lake features several picnic areas, two boat launches, stocked lake for fishing, more than 13 miles for hiking and moutnain biking. Also are observation decks for wildlife and bird

watching.

Hagg Lake is Located just 25 miles southwest of Portland. It is at the base of Oregon’s beautiful coastal range providing for scenic views and traquil relaxation.

It just so happened that we went to the lake on the hottest day of summer yet, so it was such a nice treat to play in the cool water. Living in the pacific northwest it’s rare that we get such hot days, and our water never seems quite warm enough but this day was perfect.

The water is from a lake so it can get cloudy from mud.But its still fun and cooling on a super hot day. Also fun for inner tubing for all ages.

I am so happy to say we all had a wonderful time and no one got sunburnt in the 90 degree temps.

We have family living in the Pacific Northwest and they have been telling us about the cool summer you have been having. I think we got all the hot weather here in Minnesota!

We haven’t tried this sunscreen yet, but I definitely want to. With the kids getting in and out of the water, I think it would be perfect. It looks like y’all had a fantastic day!
