The next day of our Walt Disney trip and Kristin’s Disney Social Media Mom conference, we made our way to the Animal Kingdom. The weather was clear and sunny. It was cool so we did have to wear sweaters. This was not a problem until I decided that I wanted to try the Kali River Rapids.Entering Disney’s Animal Kingdom
This is a ride down the Chakranadi river in a round raft on white water rapids. Its a calming trip until you hit the turbulent areas. I rode it myself the first time, and Kaila decided she wanted to take a trip next with me. She had soo much fun that we had to do it again. I had lucked out the first 2 times and barely got wet. That 3rd time we went, we both got soaked. See below for the wet t-shirt contest, please no pictures.Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
We had fun on the other rides such as Expedition Everest and Kilimanjaro Safaris adventure. We got to see some wild animals of the African plains. The safari takes you right through the what seems like a real Africa. There are many different animals to see and they imported African features which give you that wild safari feel. We ended it in Dinoland.
I will let the pictures do the rest of the talking.Kaila getting in the Disney Spirit Ran into the cast from Winnie the Pooh, and Kaila had to get a picture with Eyore. Can’t forget Brooklin. Kaila insisted on getting a picture in this cutout. Lunch time and photo time.
Decided to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe which is on the property.
Awesome atmosphere and loved when the wild animals went crazy.
Next we made out way to the Safari ride, a must see.
Hopefully this big alligator got his lunch.
The open safari. Watusi, wildebeests, and giraffes.
I do not remember the name of this animal.
Very big trees, Baobab trees.
Can’t forget the elephant with the big tusks.
Not sure on this guys name either.
I think Mr. Rhinoceros was shy.
We all enjoyed our trek.
Had to stop and get a photo opp at the Tree of Life.
Had to check out Kaila, I mean the monkeys.
Next we made our way through Maharajah Jungle Trek. See thee tigers?
Kristin baby wearing while trekking though ancient ruins in Asia.
Kaila had to get wacky!
I told Kaila she could be done when she made us some money back to pay for this trip.
More monkey’s monkeying around.
Kaila finally decided she wanted to go on the Kali River Rapids with her Dad.
I made it through barely getting wet. 🙂
Ok, not that time.
Kaila didn’t care.
After catching a parade, we went to Dinoland U.S.A.
I was still partly damp from the water ride. 🙂
Doesn’t it just look fun!
A must see ‘Dinosaur’ the ride, awesome!
Roarrrr…..dont let him scare you while waiting for the ride.
Yes, I was still a little damp, but hot coffee was fixing the feeling!
Playing in the ‘Boneyard’ with something for everyone.
Don’t know about soon, but someday…for sure. 🙂
When I think back on it all…we had a BLAST!!!!
We ended our day when the park closed. We did a lot in the time of being there from opening to close. There was still more to see, and we will have to check it out next time we visit.
