Party Appetizer and Easy Recipe For Bacon & Cream Cheese Covered Jalapenos

Fun Foods for Families Lunch box school lunch ideas

I know, I know how boring a bacon wrapped jalapeno snack. What’s so new about that? Nothing, but they are a easy to make party appitizer. I like to make mine to be very finger friendly and not messy. Great food that’s easy for summer entertaining.

Here is our easy recipe for bacon & cream cheese covered Jalapenos. Popular appetizer and a real hit at any gathering.

What You Need:

  • Jalapeno’s the larger and plumper the better. Buy what you need for how many you are cooking for.
  • Cream Cheese (I used an organic cream cheese out of preference)
  • Sharp cheddar cheese
  • Mexican oregano
  • black pepper
  • Center cut bacon.

How To Do It:

Allow cream cheese to soften at room temp for about an hour.

Cut jalapeno’s in half and scoop out seeds and interior.

Combine 1 1/2 cups of cedar cheese to the softened cream cheese.

Add 1 TBS of Mexican oregano and 1 tsp black pepper.

Combine mixture until cheddar cheese is well blended into mix.

Stuff jalapenos. Mixture will stuck to the inside like pasta. Wrap in your favorite center cut bacon.

Place aluminum foil (I use a recycled aluminum foil) on top rack of the grill while you cook other things like burgers and steaks while entertaining. Cook for 20 minutes and plate and serve. Perfect bite sided treats with a little spice but not too much.

These are an easy to make recipe from the grill.
