Places To Eat In Seattle – Sazerac Restaurant

You are here: Home / Family Travel With Kids / Places To Eat In Seattle – Sazerac Restaurant

Family Travel With Kids

In preparing for our trip to Seattle my husband and I quickly hit the internet to look for some of the best places to eat in Seattle. Among our search a very unique restaurant called Sazerac, it said it was an experience and after dining there my husband and I both have to agree.

Enjoy an entire 4 course meal, which in itself is an experience but add sitting at the chefs counter and you have yourself an enjoyable, fun and entertaining time. It was an experience and the menu just continues to add to it.

While sitting at the chefs counter you are able to see the food being prepared, as fresh pizzas and prawns get tossed into the wood burning oven right in front of you. The flavors are fresh and the food has that Pacific Northwest flavor, yet with some added southern style.

If you are in for dinner a must have is their signature cocktail The Original Sazerac. This traditional New Orleans drink has Sazerac Rye Whiskey, Peychaud’s Bitters, a spray of Absinthe, sugar, and is garnished with a lemon peel. I actually enjoyed the drink with my dessert and was delighted by all of the rich flavors.

The food was incredible, the only downer to sitting at the chefs counter was the fact that there was so much great food coming out, it all looked almost too good to eat. My husband and I were able to make our own dinner choices. You get quite the selection and if you’ve never had a 4 course meal Sazerac is a great place to start because all of the food is so delicious you get to try a little of all of it.

My husband had oysters for his starter, it features oysters that were literally caught and served within days of each other. That’s what’s so great about Seattle, the fresh seafood choices are everywhere and Sazerac is no exception. I started off with the bacon wrapped dates that were stuffed with goat cheese. Now I’m not one for goat cheese but the chef had it down perfect, fresh high quality ingredients speak for themselves and in this case they did! My husband then had the scallops and I had a beet salad. We finished with prawns and I had a squash gnocchi and we finished with some fresh deserts.

Just check out the menu to see how affordable a great meal can be! We had such a great overall experience and if you are ever in Seattle and are looking for good places to eat the Sazerac is located next to the Monaco Hotel on 4th ST downtown.

Special thanks to the Sazerac restaurant who provided us with this wonderful experience.

Ooh! The food looks amazing. I think I’ve been by this restaurant before 🙂 I’ll have to remember to recommend it to friends if they are looking for a nice dinner out.
