I know what you’re thinking, hemp why would she eat hemp? The truth is hemp is really good for you, and it’s being used all all sorts of products, and foods. After learning about hemp I found out that it is really good for you and packed full of good fats!
Nature’s Path makes a Hemp Granola bar that is to die for, so I’ve been wanting to find other ways to incorporate hemp into our foods. By adding hemp I can really help my weightloss, and heart all at the same time. Being healthy inside and out is so very important to me and my family and adding hemp is a great way to do this.
Even better is how simple the ingredients are in foods that are made with hemp. Don’t worry we’re not using anything but the entire interior of the hemp seed, the hemp hearts.
Organic Hemp Chocolate Cookie Recipe:
You Will Need:
- 1 organic egg
- 1 cup of all natural peanut butter
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1 cup of hemp hearts
- 1/2 cup of raw cane sugar
- natural chocolate
Let’s Cook:
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, and mix. Add chocolate after dough is together. I used a natural chocolate I bought at Whole Foods and shaved some pieces into the batter.
Bake: Bake for 15 minutes at 350 degrees. To make the cookies roll balls and press with a fork. This recipe will make a dozen cookies.
@Connie They were very good!
Were they good? I’ve bought hemp oil – never used it and hemp shakes (hated them!). I know I should figure out a way to incorporate it but so far I’m stumped.
The only thing I have ever heard of hemp is the seed oil. What is hemp exactly? A grain?
these sound like nutritional powerhouse cookies! can’t wait to try them {baking with hemp is peeking my curiosity}. thanks for the recipe!!!
