Recipe – Easy Homemade Breakfast Sandwiches

You are here: Home / Fun Foods for Families / Recipe – Easy Homemade Breakfast Sandwiches

Fun Foods for Families

I make these recipes with mostly organic ingredients and it’s really simple t create your own breakfast sandwiches in no time. I’ll be perfectly honest those frozen ones are horrible for you and your kiddos! In just 15 minutes had these easy sandwiches made.

Ingredients are simple.

  • English Muffins
  • Plain Sausage
  • American Cheese

Sausage: The trick to cooking the sausage is put about 1/4 inch of water at the bottom of a frying pan. Basically boil the sausage and then drain water to brown the tops. It keeps the sausage form getting too brown, or burnt and cooks it thoroughly. Since sausage is the only pork product my family eats I want to be sure it’s cooked perfectly and this is one way that I do it.

The egg was simple I scrambled the eggs and as they cooked I formed a large patty that I flipped with a spatula. Broke the large part into pieces for the sandwich.

Assemble and you’re good to go!

I make these for my kids too. I use a heart shaped pancake mold to put the egg into to cook. It fits perfectly on the sandwich and then I tell the kids mom made it with LOVE. We don’t use pork patties, bad for our stomachs. If I use anything its bacon or ham.

Looks delicious. I have a tendency to get the sausage a little too well done. I’ll have to try the water trick.
