Family Travel With Kids

On December 9th kids will descend upon the city of Denver for the 5th annual Red Robin Kids’ Cook-off. The 10 finalists were just named and among the top ten are two from Portland, Oregon. Angela an 11 year old will be creating her “Bangin’ Spicy Chicken Artichoke” and 8 year old Emily who will be creating her “Bacon Dill Delight Burger”.

As a Portlander I am proud to have the chance to go to Denver and to report LIVE. If you’d like to watch please register and tune in December 9th and these mini chefs make kids cooking history!

And, if you check out the Cook-Off site, you’ll see that we also have a Fan Favorite contest going on.  Each kid finalists burger is featured, and the finalist with the most online votes by midnight on Wednesday, Dec. 8 will win the Fan Favorite title along with a bunch of cool prizes.

Please take a second to vote for the fan favorite, I’m anxious to try both creations but that artichoke and dill pickle has my attention! Just think, if you were a kid and someone gave you prizes, help us make their day wonderful! Of course I won’t be the only blogger on site, we’ll all be broadcasting live!

The cast of Cook-Off correspondents includes:

· Katie of MommyKatie.com

· Kim of Mommycosm.com

· Jacqueline of NerdFamilyFood.com

· Kristi of PhoenixMommy.com

· Kristin of OurOrdinaryLife.com

· Keilah of SacramentoSideTracks.com

· Danielle of ExtraordinaryMommy.com

· Naomi of SuperDumbSuperVillain.blogspot.com

And blogger from Denver who is on the panel of Judges:

· Fiona of BanteringBlonde.com

Red Robin has asked me to be a correspondent, they are paying my travel expenses and for my time and any costs I may have. Although I’m rooting for my Portland kids all the way!!! Go girls!

What fun! I would love to see that contest. Chicken Artichoke sounds rather sophisticated for an eleven year old, doesn’t it? No matter who wins, all of these kids will be making great memories.
    Have fun!!

I bet that will be a fun trip…we love Red Robin here and the boy who is competing from Washington is from Olympia! So watch for him too!
