Frequently Asked Questions
When will you let me know if my item will be reviewed?
Once we receive your email, we will do our best to respond to you within 72 hours and provide you with an address where you can send samples.
How long will it be, once you receive the product, before it is highlighted?
We make every effort to review products in a timely manner. Sometimes, however, real life (including our most important job of parenting) gets in the way.
*Currently, due to extremely high demand, we are looking to at two weeks after receipt of your sample before the review will be posted here on Our Ordinary Life. Reviews may be posted sooner if a date becomes available.
Will you tell me when the review is posted?
We will inform you when the review of your item(s) is scheduled to be posted and will send you the permalink.
Can we require a positive review?
While we promise honest feedback, your submission is not guaranteed a super-positive review. If we feel that your product does not meet quality standards, we will contact you before posting any comments. I also reserve the right not to post a review if I feel in any way the product will not relate to my family nor my readers.
How long will our product be highlighted?
You’ll have the top spot until the next review is posted, and we do not generally post more than one review per day. However…once your review moves from the top spot, it will be scrollable on the homepage for a period of time. All reviews are also permanently accessible in the archives and are search able by category.
Will my product be returned? We are very sorry no products will be returned. Once something is given as a review it becomes our sole property, we will fully test and use these products making returning them just impossible.

My name is Al Malekovic (al@countrybobs.com) and I represent a very, very small company called Country Bob’s, Inc. We are making a great sauce called, “Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce” and we would like to get the word out about our product.
I know that blogs are a great way to get information to the general public. I conducted a google search for food blogs and your name came and after looking at your blog, I was wondering if you would be interested in trying my sauce and perhaps reviewing it for me.
If you send me your name and address via e-mail, I would gladly send you a recipe brochure along with two bottles of Country Bob’s All Purpose Sauce in hopes that you would write a review.
If you would like more information, I would be glad to respond to any questions you might have. In fact, if you are interested in interviewing me after you’ve sampled the product, I would gladly make myself available!
