Fun Foods for Families Uncategorized

We love Fall Halloween time and all that comes with it. From the elaborate to small decorations, I love to bring Halloween and Fall spirit into every part of our home. From spiders, to cinnamon brooms, and orange and pink pumpkins, we love to bake ghosts and body part recipes along with fall classics. We love to celebrate the fun and creativity of that this time of the year has to offer.

We love find fun and different shaped pumpkins. From small to big, in a variety of shapes, pumpkins come so many varieties from pink to orange they are so much fun to decorate with.

Have you ever seen a pink pumpkin? We found our first pink pumpkin many years ago and love them so much our girls have always wanted to have one every year.

The pink pumpkins come from farmers and growers from all over the nation who have teamed up with The Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation and have agreed to give back a percentage of their pink pumpkin sales to the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation. The funds will be donated, through a grant process, to reputable breast cancer research organization that focuses their spending on real research over everything else. Over the past two years, $60,000 has been raised for the Children’s Hospital Oakland Research Institute in 2012 and in 2013 to the Rush Medical Center.

Help raise & support breast cancer awareness and find a pink pumpkin, here is a list of farm owners and growers participating, and place it outside your home to show national support for “Pink Pumpkins in Your Home – Let’s Unite Against Breast Cancer.”

Bake it and raise money to support breast cancer research!

The Pink Pumpkin Patch foundation is joining with Bake it Happen™ to raise money for breast cancer awareness and research.  The Bake it Happen campaign is very easy: just bake and share your baked goodie with anyone in your life during the month of October 2014.  $2 will be donated to the Pink Pumpkin Patch Foundation for every recipe shared.

Stay tuned for my recipe and that I am going to share to raise awareness and funding for research. Having family that has battled breast cancer, and obvisouly being someone who can be at risk, I hope that we are at a time and place to finally create a cure or something that can help others! Having 3 daughters who have full lives ahead of them, I hope for their future the same too.
