The Moto X by Google has become the newest addition to our family tree, next to our new German Shepherd puppy. What I mean is we use our smartphones a lot. We do use another phone but for our Android phone we have taken the Moto X as our pick. This powerful, yet sleek, thin, and very functional smartphone is great for everything we need and is even better for people who are always on the go and need to stay connected. Its super thin profile fits nicely into any pant, suit, or jean pocket with ease and for living in Southern California where the sun shines all the time, it’s light and unnoticeable in shorts and other lightweight clothing pieces.
The Moto X is a great all around phone available now for use with AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon customers. Anyone can get their own Moto X through Moto Maker which is great for those who love to customize and add their own style and flavor to anything they touch. Moto Maker allows the choice of 30 different backside choices allowing for thousands of combinations to make any phone as unique as truly possible. And the Moto X is the only Smartphone assembled in the U.S.A.
The Moto X comes in so many options for choices of the backside. You can go with a truly natural backing that uses a protected real wood with beautiful grain finish that come in a bamboo, walnut, or teak finish. And for those who have a specific color in mind there are over 25 color options that include purple, green, blue, mint, teal, navy, olive, turquoise, royal blue, and spearmint, orange, golden yellow, red, cherry, violet, lemon lime, crimson, blush, cabernet, and raspberry. And for those who want no color and a neutral palette choices include a smoke, slate, woven black, woven white, cement, black, or chalk color finish.
After you select your back you get the choice of a white or black front face. Next move on and choose from 10 different colors to highlight the polished anodized aluminum accents for the buttons and camera lens frame and add your name to the startup screen and choose a case if needed. You can also preset you wallpaper background and add on your Google Account so your phone is ready to go upon delivery and unboxing.
The Moto X has 2 memory options to choose from which include a 16GB and 32GB option. If you need more option take advantage of a Google cloud drive to store any additional files that can be accessed from any computer as needed.
What I find to be the best feature of any smartphones is its size and build. The Moto X is small yet packs a sharp AMOLED 4.7 inch 720×1280 pixel screens that fills the phones surface, yet fits nicely into my hand. It’s not too wide or to thick allowing me to slip it in and out of my pocket. And when I need to snap a quick picture the Moto X is easy to pull out and by just twisting my wrist twice I am ready to capture anything by activating the camera screen instantly. And it’s great for viewing videos or playing games which is great for the kids or for when I want to read or spend some time by the pool or waiting in line at Disneyland, Universal Studios, Seaworld, Knotts, or somewhere else with lines. Line, lines, lines,, time, time, time. The Moto X is there without getting in the way.
What is also super important is a camera that works great. The Moto X has the features of a great camera phone, but also the hi-def for a great video camera. The Moto X uses Clear Pixel technology that allows picture capturing up to twice as fast as other phones’ cameras by collecting more light. This helps in dark scenes and prevents motion blur in bright light making quick photo taking easy.
I’ve snapped many great day photos without having to take more than one picture stopping me from having to waste time picking from the best. This is super convenient when on the go or dealing with kids while trying to get a great photo of the kids to share in Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, or Google+. Some of the phone’s features:
- 10MP with 16:9 aspect ratio, 4x digital zoom
- 1080p HD video at 30fps with slow motion
- Auto HDR, Panorama, Photo burst
- Tap to focus
- Flick your wrist with phone in hand to quickly bring up camera for quick shots

By setting your voice you can ask your pohone to do things without even having to pick it up. By saying “Ok Google Now” then your command, your smart phone ‘has really become smart. The usefulness of the Moto X is great.
Google is always on demand to best assist with any question simply by just asking aloud. For Microsoft Office users like ourselves, we can access and carry files we need and work and access them via our phone and we can also have printing setup for the home from our phone.
The Moto X is a great phone. Great size, weight, bright and the camera is great. Lets me do what I need to do, without becoming a burden to carry. With kids its important to reduce bulk, but at the same time making sure what we carry is useful and the Moto X does it all for us.
So, we are excited to share a few things right now. First is this simple and fun little recipe to celebrate the Buggy Night Story App and the wonderful colors and graphics and come along with it.
One thing I use my phone a lot for is taking photos of food. From uploading to my social channels to working on campaigns as a blogger I am using my phone for it all. I enjoy creating unique and fun new recipes so inspired by Buggy Night I created a fun vegetable patch complete with mini bugs. It’s a fun snack idea and is fun after exploring with your family!
I wanted to make this snack filling and full of things that my kids already love. I started first with my favorite egg salad recipe. I also used my mandolin for slicing a large cucumber.
It’s a super simple snack so just roll up your cucumber with the egg salad!
I really liked the idea of topping it with things you’d find in the garden. The mini cranberries are the bugs in the veggie patch. You can top these with anything you have that’s fresh from the garden!
We also have ONE Motorola Moto X to give-a-away. It comes in this cute setup and includes the phone, instructions, changer, cord (NO OEW BOXING). It is a new phone just insert your AT&T Nano-Sim and you are ready to go!
You can find more information about the MotoX and Buggy Night at Motorola.com.
