Our Ordinary Year 2013

OUR ORDINARY 2013 In January we started the year with a big trip to California. Our family started with Mia being 7 months old and I was so proud to finally complete my Invisalign treatment. I traveled to LA to shoot ambassador videos for Nature Made VitaMelts Vitamins.

In February the hubby and I headed to Seattle to Darigold Headquarters where we made cheesecake. I wrapped up the Omron Fitness Challenge with a deeper commitment to getting healthy. We also celebrated Valentine’s day and I wrote a little about love! I also turned 28 years old!

Mia turned 8 months old. Brooklin sure grew older and I realized I’ll miss her when she’s not three.

In March we started out by celebrating Marley’s 3rd birthday and Mia turned 9 months old . We made adorable classroom treats for St. Patrick’s Day and had the ultimate family movie night! We had the sweetest family pictures taken too!

In April we started out the month by redoing and zesting up the kitchen. Once the kitchen was done you know we had to get cooking, this is one of my favorite recipes from the year! I wrote about knowing exactly where I’m supposed to be and Mia grew another month older.

In May we started to get ready for summer. I wrote about how my heart breaks with love. For Mother’s day I enjoyed breakfast in bed and enjoyed being a mom to three. Both Kaila and Brooklin showed off during gymnastics. Kaila also turned eight year old! I said goodbye fat girl and celebrated with pizza!

DSC_0691 June was such a fun month we started out by ending the school year and saying goodbye to teachers we really held close to our heart. Mia started standing on her own, and we celebrated her first birthday!! Then we snuck away for a weekend beach trip. I wrote about love and people staring at me. We threw one big party too because Brooklin also turned 4 years old!

July started out really exciting with my announcement of my brand ambassadorship with Folgers. Then hubby and I jetted off to Chicago for a week away where we got to recharge a little! It was an incredible month of growth for us!

DSC_1110 In August the whole family got away to Seattle where we had breakfast at one of our favorite places! Then we went camping for a week, a place we will never forget! I wrote a little about being the little sister and we started getting ready to go back to school.

In October I headed to Ohio to meet with one of my favorite brands J.M. Smucker.  When I got home I got to work baking and cooking, one of our most popular posts ever , the mummy dogs had more than 30,000 pins on Pinterest! We completely updated the site and started to get ready for Halloween.

recipes of 2013 2013 was such an exciting year of growth for me personally and professionally. I am so very thankful to each person who has remained close in my life. I’ve realized where I don’t want to be and where my 2014 will be headed and I can only look to the future with hope and love and grace in my heart. 2013 taught me an incredible amount about myself and as I start 2014 I know there are some things I will do differently.

In 2014 I promise to write about my children more often. I promise to say I love you and thank you. I promise to work even harder and make my better my best and when that’s not enough I keep reaching for my best. I promise to change and grow another year older and a little more wise.

The best thing about starting a new year is looking back at the past year and knowing what you want to do differently. So here’s to 2013, to the mistakes and to the moments we made! Here’s to 2014 and making it the best year yet!

Happy New Year!

Looks like a great year! How wonderful to have a written and photo record as a blogger! I’m lucky if I get my pictures off the memory card…
