It seems like every once in a while a new product for kids comes along that just makes perfect sense, the LeapFrog LeapPad is that product. The first thing being the attached stylus so it won’t get lost. It’s perfectly made for parents and kiddos. The screen is great for little ones because the screen is 5 inches and has a 480×272 pixel resolution. It also has a forward facing camera which my daughter loves.
The LeaPad also uses the LeapFrog Explorer cartridges and apps., and the LeapPad is similar to the explorer in that kids can read stories, play games, color, draw and so much more. Like the Explorer I love the option of uploading apps (games) right onto the system, when traveling you don’t have to worry about lost cartridges because everything is inside. For those who want a color preference the Leap Pad also comes in pink or green and is meant for ages 4-9.
I love watching the different movies and pictures that my daughter can create the pre-installed programs are fun and entertaining and the camera is almost the funnest part. The games are interactive and feature some of my daughters favorite characters. We love that LeapFrog continues to expand the game collection. I love the size and the fact that my little one can feel like me with her very own touchscreen gaming and learning system.
