Portland Family Fun – Saturday Market Downtown, Portland

Open every Saturday and Sunday from March through December is Portland’s Saturday Market. The market features local artisans, international food, and live music that truly reflects the culture that is found here in Portland. The newly redone site is located North Waterfront Park & Ankeny Plaza in Portland, Oregon.Take a stroll down Tom McCall Waterfront Park and glance at breathtaking views of local bridges and Mt. Hood.

In the market you’ll find local artists creating everything from jewelry and glass blowing to paintings. There’s local IPA and fresh local foods. In fact, there are over 350 local artisans selling goods all in one area.

Tips with kids: Bring a stroller, wear, or carry small children there are a lot of people in the space. Do take the time to explore the foods!! I also saw some really beautiful handmade products for kids. Have them bring their chore money!! If it’s warm have them wear their swimsuits, as there are fountains downtown.

Parking: The closest lot is at NW 1st and Davis ST

Closest lot is at NW 1st & Davis Streets.
