Organic Lemonade Recipe

My 6 year old came up with this recipe for organic lemonade herself. In fact I even allowed her to pick out everything so here’s how it went. She picked up 17 organic lemons, which to be honest I thought were 79 cents a pound and not a piece. Oops! Lesson learned but as we came to find out a little lemon went a long way. She also knew it would need a little sugar for sweetening it up so she picked out some organic cane sugar. The process is simple, peel the lemons.

Then place the lemons in a juicer. You could use a number of things, even a blender would work perfectly fine.

Organic Lemonade Recipe
Ingredients
  • 17 organic lemons
  • 1 1/2 cup organic cane sugar
Instructions
  1. Take juice from 17 lemons and place into a gallon container. Add water to the top and sugar. A lot is done by taste so just keep tasting and get it how you like it.

I read the recipe and honestly this is what I said to myself (which is apparently a phrase I say often):

    Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

And then I laughed at myself. And now I want some ;)

I love love homemade lemonade especially in the summer. We rarely make fresh lemonade. Looking at your recipe makes me want to go out and buy some lemons. Thanks for sharing :)

I know how your daughter feels. I’ve been trying to perfect my iced tea recipe all summer. I think that I’ve finally got it. The secret, use three different types of tea, lemon juice and add almond extract. It’s been a hit at my house! http://chatonsworld.blogspot.com. (I haven’t made fresh lemonade this year yet. Now that I have such a fine recipe I’m sure that I will before the summer is out. That’s an expensive recipe though! :-)
