I can’t believe it’s been so many years since this all began, I can still remember 5 Minutes For Mom’s very first Ultimate Blog Party. Hi, my name is Kristin. I see a lot of people out there who I don’t know yet.
Let me give you a quick run down. I have two girls, Kaila is 5 (almost 6) and Brooklin is 20 months. I live in Portland, Oregon and live up to every aspect of “Keep Portland Weird”. If you look around my website you will notice a few things. I am passionate about organic foods and photograhy. I want everyone to have a conversation about the foods we feed ourselves and our children. I recently wrote a mini-essay that tells you a little more about my “ordinary life”. I write a lot of things but some of my favorite things are my personal posts.
I started this blog as a journal about my oldest daughter and our life together. That hasn’t changed as a large portion of this blog and the media I create revolve around their lives. My girls are polar opposites. One is shy and observant, the other one leaps without looking. Can you guess who is who?
In many ways they are both exactly like me. I leap first and think later, I wear my heart of my sleeve. I am often quiet until comfortable. I am girly but also don’t mind a little mud. I am passionate about my beliefs but am open to listening to others. As mother’s we often overlook just how much our children take in from us, only in reflection can we see it. I do a lot of reflecting.
A lot happened over the past year.
