It’s no secret that we love music in our family. My girls and I are dancing and singing nightly. Since I’m always on the lookout for gadgets for my husband when I was sent The Orb Music Player to review I knew it would be a wonderful asset to our home stereo system.
I know that we’ve all taken the time to build complex music libraries with iTunes, that are only available to enjoy via a PC or iPod, while Internet radio and music services are limited to listening via a PC or Mac.
I use iTunes a lot for the iPod and my iPad, but rarely get a chance to play the music I buy because it’s not as easily accessible as I’d like it to be. The Orb actually allows you to listen to your music from any home stereo system.
The Orb Music Player transforms any home music system into an Internet-connected stereo that is easily controlled via smartphones such as iPhone or Android, as well as with an iPad and iPod Touch. That means I can flip music right from my iPad. I no longer have to use cable music stations. It connects to your music via your wi-fi network.
Setting up the Orb Music Player is quick and easy. First, you will download the free Orb Caster software to your PC or Mac; next plug the Orb Music Player– a compact, hockey-puck sized disk — into any home stereo; and finally, download the free Orb controller app from iTunes to their smartphone, iPad or iPod Touch. After completing the easy set up, the Orb is ready to go!
The Orb Music Player is available now from Orb Networks at new.orb.com for $69. The Orb Controller software for the iPhone platform is available now from the iTunes App Store, for free. The Orb Caster software is available as a free download from www.orb.com.
I have one Orb Music Player to give away.

I’m a huge music fanatic, and I have been since I was a teen. My music playlist consists of some rockin Jack White and some White Stripes, some Brandon Flowers and some Killers, some Maroon 5 (their latest album is great), some BUSH cause I’m in love with Gavin Rossdale, and some Lady Gaga cause she can kick some serious butt
