Flip SlideHD Giveaway – Share Family Moments

Recently I had the chance to review a Flip SlideHD and after the review I began thinking about my own family and the movies I create. I wish growing up I had more videos, there’s something about watching the family moments happen. I look at videos from when Kaila was an infant and while it seems like such a lifetime ago now watching the video brings me back to that moment. The sights, smells, the feelings we had. That’s why I do as much photography as I do now, but I’d love to start doing more videos.

As a blogger vlogging is important to me, I’d like to vlog more and I know my Flip SlideHD will help me vlog in places I would otherwise not vlog at.It also makes recording and sharing video incredibly easy and I’m looking forward to sharing more videos than ever. Would you be interested in joining in on the Vlogolympics?

So while my Flip SlideHD has me inspired…. I have the chance to give away one Flip SlideHD.

Halloween is a fun time and kids get excited! I am not a fan of trick or treat, (do you really know your neighbors) and do-not like kids knocking on strange doors. I think it would be fun to have the children work together creating a halloween movie while having a party. Let them come-up with ideas and script and decide whom plays what role.

The Flip SlideHD can record up to 4 hours of video, so I would bring it to a family gathering and record the memories of all of the “experience” family members to capture their family stories and share them with the rest of the family. This would be a great way to preserve the memories of a generation and keep them for future generations. Who knows, there may even be a future president caught on “tape” years before his or her inauguration.

I plan on making a video/picture montage to the “Growing Pains” theme song (kinda like their opening credits). It’s going to take a bit of time to put together, and a Flip Slide HD cam would be soooooo incredibly amazing in making this video dream come true!!

I don’t know if you ever watched The Cosby Show, but several times they had the kids dress up, pretend to play instruments, dance and lip sync a song. Since my parents have grandchildren ranging in ages from toddler to late teens, I think it would be fun to put on this type of performance using a song that has special meaning to them. I think it would be something they would enjoy watching over and over through the years.

Recently my three kids came with my husband and I and did volunteer work at a local senior citizens center. My husband and I do regular volunteer work ongoing there, but my this was my children’s first time. Basically they wiped all the tables down, then put the chairs up and swept. This is a pretty big place and my kids worked hard. I was really proud of them for being giving of their time with such great attitudes. My three kids are 11, 12 and 15 and my husband and I hope that they grow up to be adults who do volunteer work. We try to show them how important, and fun it can be by being role models for them.
I wish I had had a video camera to make a video of that day. The smiles on their faces as they were working was so sweet to see!
