Living in Oregon is like having every kind of weather and scenery possible. From scenic byways, majestic rivers, snow-peeked mountains and volcanoes, to rolling hills and desert plains. Oregon is the essence of beauty.
Today my family took a scenic trip down Highway 203 through Astoria, Oregonon our way to Seaside, Oregon. Oregon is not only a state of beauty it’s also full of history. Located in Seaside, Oregon is the End of the Oregon Trail. A trek in which Lewis and Clark took many years ago.

I love taking old off beat highways. Avenue of the Giants, in Northern California is another highway that is a must see. It takes a little longer to go through, but you make up for that in wonders yours eyes can’t even full take in. Oregon is full of tiny pieces of history, and we love exploring it.
Along the way we saw:
Waterfalls along side the highway.
We saw wildlife along the beach.

Wow that is so cool! What a beautiful area! I love the beach and it looks like your girls had so much fun, Kaila is so cute playing in the water!
What a beautiful place!! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Oregon is absolutely beautiful (as is your post!). I have only seen small portions of it, but we are hoping to take a road trip through Oregon this summer, as we might retire there in a few years.
Thanks for sharing this!
Okay, I’m now just learning you live in Oregon. I lived in Oregon for over 10 years. I graduated from OSU in 1999. Your pics are beautiful and make me want to head on up there. I live in Rancho Cordova now which is slightly East of Sacramento. Trust me, Oregon is a much better place to live.
You should write the travel promos for your state…I live in Florida with beautiful beaches but no real other types of beautiful scenery and experiences.
