Konnor was a really easy teether. Teeth came in, and that was that. No fever, no crankiness, nothing. We never knew he was teething it seemed like.
I’m thinking about taking Ariana in as she is lethargic and grumpy these last few days. Like you, I suspect teething, but it’s been soooo long since I’ve experienced a child teething that I. Just. Don’t. Know.
I will be watching and seeing what others have to say! We both might learn something. Hehe
Isabella was the worst teether ever! What worked for us? Tylenol/Motrin, freeze a wet washcloth in the freezer–it was Bella’s favorite thing to teeth on. She was feverish, crabby, etc. There was also a great Sassy teether–it was a fish and she LOVED it. I would put that in the freezer as well.
Maddie is a great teether. I haven’t really had to do anything different with her.
Hope e’thing goes okay at her appointment sweetie! xo
Motrin was a life saver on some nights. During the day we did a lot of frozen teething rings. I kept about 3 or 4 in the freezer and alternated them out. I always had Orajel on hand when we were out and about, I used it when I was in a pinch. And for the drool, she wore lot’s of cute bibs every where we went. She was the worst drooler! Good Luck!!
My son was a pretty easy teether, but a couple did give him some trouble. He liked chewing on frozen washcloths, I found that he drank more milk, and motrin! C never got fevers with the teething, but a lot of drooling, red cheeks, and crankiness. He often ate less when a tooth was coming right through.
I hope you were able to get some help from the doctor!
Hi! What works for us are Hyland’s Teething Tablets. I don’t know how they work, but they do. We give them to Cam and he seems to calm down almost immediately. Also, we give him some tylenol before bed so he sleeps through the night. He loves these hard teething rings we have. I don’t know who makes them but they are Winnie the Pooh themed.
Hang in there!
For some reason, watching the Wiggles worked on my oldest. She would totally forget her pain and stare at the TV. The younger two weren’t/aren’t that easy, but dancing around to silly music does help the youngest. I also swear by Motrin and my youngest likes to chew on a cool pacifier (has to be a regular paci, not one of the special ones for teething). Hope this helps!
First of all what an adorable baby, I see those toofies poking through. What we use to do for our children (I have 4, so I have a little experience with this) is to tie a clean wash rag into a knot (knot in middle, loose end on both sides like this ~@~ on one end wet the wash rag and put it in the freezer for about 20 minutes. Let the baby chew on the chilled end. They love to wave it around and gnaw on it. The roughness of the rag material and the coolness will soothe the gums and have them smiling in no time. This combined with baby motrin = miracle!
My son just had his molars come in and it was terrible. He was such an angel for the front teeth. I did Tylenol & Motrim but it wasn’t cutting it he has still so cranky. My neighbor have me some of those Teething Tablets and they seemed to clam him down. He would atleast fall asleep. Not sure if your daughter takes a paci but that seemed to soothe my son. He would gnaw on it for relief. Orajel was hard to put into his mouth unless my husband was home and could hold him down while I put it into his mouth. But Orajel seems to wear off quickly in my opinion. I know this bc I tried it to see how effective it was.
Also my son had a fever while teething and the doctor said that if it is a temperature around 100 it is usually associated with teething.
Good luck to you
