Sweethearts Makes Changes For 2010

by Kristin on February 1, 2010

Giveaway Ends Feb. 7th

Maybe you’ve heard but Sweethearts, America’s Valentine candy expert have updated their classic candies. Sweethearts now feature new colors, flavors, packaging and sayings. The newest greeting were chosen by the American public and feature social media sayings like “tweet me” and “text me”. Sweethearts has never solicited advice for the public so this was a new venture.

Since social media slag was so popular Sweethearts released My Sweethearts which features an adorable iPhone app. Also check out the website for easy Valentine craft ideas and tips and tricks. They’ve also launched a fun Twitter app that allows you to send your friends virtual Sweetheart boxes of candy. Such a fun way to send love to your online friends.

Sweethearts kindly provided Kai with enough Sweetheart boxes to give to her entire class. She of course wanted to try out the new flavors and loves them. In fact, her favorite was the blueberry. I wish they would have kept one of the old flavors, since those were my favorite Valentine candies as a kid but the new ones are neat too.

Sweethearts has given me one case of Sweetheart boxes to give away. Case includes 36 boxes of Sweethearts.

Every year, my husband hides a beanie baby for me somewhere in the house. It’s a tradition 10 years old from when we were dating and had no money!

After 35 yrs of marriage, Valentine’s Day is still special. We always go out for a special Valentine’s Dinner and then come home, snuggle on the couch, watch movies and have a glass of wine. It’s still as special as the first time. New Sweethearts message: always forgive

We like to keep it simple at our house. We give each other notes and/or valentines expressing our love for one another and sometimes have a nice Valentine’s Day dinner. New message: Forever Love

We don’t really have a specific Valentine tradition. I usually get some flowers & I make my husband his favorite meal.

If I could add one new saying it would be “Luv U 4ever”

On Valentine’s Day, I still buy my children (now a little…okay, a lot… older) a stuffed animal. This has been a tradition since they have been born. My favorite saying, actually the song, is “I love you a bushel and a peck….etc.”. Thank you and Happy Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s day at our house is a quiet dinner with my daughter. We buy her a present. How about Always Kiss Me Goodnight?

20 Sand February 7, 2010 at 8:13 pm

We usually make something special at home as it gets too crowded to go out.

21 michele February 7, 2010 at 8:20 pm

Thank you for the giveaway. Valentine’s day at our house really is just another day I suppose. We give the kids candy and teddy bears and my husband and I usually exchange something as well. You shouldn’t just show your love on one day a year, valentines should be everyday of the year!

A saying hmmmm, how about Sweet love
