America’s Largest Bedtime Story

Last year our family participated in America’s Largest Bedtime Story and the book I Got Two Dogs was read and it is one of Kai’s favorites. We like to read it with a southern accent, and we can’t wait to read this years book.   With the help from Pizza Hut BOOK IT!® Program and Golden Globe winning author and actor John Lithgow join families all over the United States for one big bedtime story.

The Book: Carnival of the Animals by John Lithgow

Last year 198,000 people joined in and they’re hoping to break last years record. If more people participate in 2010 than in 2009, the BOOK IT! Program will donate 50,000 meals to Haiti through the World Food Program.I also hope your family will continue to read together, it’s really important to set aside 20 minutes a night for story time. Plus it also feels great and allows your children time to wind down. The perfect ending to any busy day!

Log on and join  America’s Largest Bedtime Story and lookout for next years story!

Pizza Hut has kindly offered one winner two $10 Pizza Hut gift cards and a copy of John Lithgow’s book Marsupial Sue Presents “The Runaway Pancake.”

I watched Carnival of the Animals the day they were counting. My daughter’s favorite bedtime story was The Tawny Scrawny Lion. I know you’ve never heard of it – it was one of those tiny Golden Books. She was totally fascinated that this lion would rather eat carrot stew than actual rabbits. My son’s favorite book was, “Where’s the Guinea Pig”.

  18. Joanne Schultz says

yup, we watched America’s Largest Bedtime Story!
No kids, but my nephew made me read him a dinosaur sticker book at bedtime – that was NO fun!! These dinosaurs were ones I’d never heard of and then my three year old nephew would CORRECT my pronunciation!!
I much preferred all the books I’d read to kids I’d babysat for – lots of fairy tales!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  19. Justine says
