Giveaway Ends Jan 1

Did you know that annually parents spend 6.5 billion dollars on birthday parties. The average out of home party will cost $350 however 58% of parents are hosting parties at home. 2K Play just released a hot new game for the Wii called Birthday Party Bash.

What is so unique about this game is that 8it really is a party in a box. Parents get everything they need including the invites. 2K Play teamed up with Duncan Hines, Party City, and Evite.com to offer a real money-saving solution.

The actual game features some of your family favorite party classics. Like Piñata Blast, red light green light, and musical chairs. There is also a Duncan Hines cake stacker game, as well as theme rooms. Set the theme of the party and leave the t.v. on it just adds extra fun . All together there are 20 games and a selection of theme rooms. When it’s time for a break simply put the cake on and everyone can sing.

Included with the game is a guide with party suggestions, 12 ready to mail invites, there’s also customizable online invites. Duncan Hines has put coupons for party sweets as well as Party City who also put a coupon for free balloons.

I like the idea the idea of this game since the Wii is so popular. It would be fun for any age, not just the kiddos birthdays.

Pay attention to what your child is really interested in at the moment. Children’s interests change quickly and remember that the younger the child the less involved the party needs to be. Make a list and keep it simple.

Pin-the-tail on the donkey remains our favorite kid’s birthday game.

What has worked for me…go to the craft store and pick up some craft items. Set up a table at the party for the kids to create a craft to take home. One year I did visors, another year I did plastic masks. The kids stuck foam shapes and glued pom-pons and feathers onto the items however they chose. We still have lots of supplies left-over so we can do it again at even less expense than before. And this works well if you have kids in a variety of age groups.

  19. Marcy Strahan says:

You can get lots of supplies at your local Dollar store! I make little gift bags for every child with candy & little dollar store trinkets.

Save all the theme paraphanalia…label it and use it for the next child. At an early age, they are far too young to compare and planning is a breeze. Thank you for this opportunity to win and Happy New Year!!

  25. Ebony says:

make sure to have enough food for everyone!

  26. Kim Holsapple says:

Make a craft party! We did this with pillowcases one year and it was a hit with the third graders.

  27. Nancy Meyer says:

Instead of paying extra to buy the little kit for the bakery to use for your theme party cake, just have the bakery do the writing and some simple decorations and use a McDonald’s toy or other small toy to make the cake fit your theme.

  28. Sarah Stern says:

Skip the theme and spend the extra money on really good food.

  29. Sue says:

Only invite as many children as your child’s age. ex: 6 year old…6 children at the party. Thanks for the giveaway!
