Travel Easy With Audiovox

DSCN0181

Giveaway will end Dec 20th

In the next week our family is going to be traveling a total of about 2,300 miles. Luckily our long road trip is going to be made much easier with our new Audiovox 8″ Portable DVD System. We have honestly been wanting to purchase a portable DVD system for some time now but since we were given one for a review, I couldn’t be happier with this system.

At only $99 it’s a great value!

It is a good value and nice to as a perfect gift idea. You get everything you need for movies on the go. Included with the DVD player unit you get dual headphones (dual headphone jack on player), remote control, car headrest mounting solution, A/V cables, wall power adapter, 12v car outlet power adapter, and carrying case. There’s nothing else you need to purchase and it’s perfect with its 8″ wide screen. The actual picture quality is really good, looks just as good as Kai’s pink princess TV in her room. It also has a built in rechargable battery which lasted through a whole movie and more. In the car it can plug into the 12 v accessory outlet and have unlimited play.

If you don’t already have one or are looking for a good gift idea. Especially families who travel with children look at the Audiovox 8″ Portable DVD System, it has the best deal for your money.

    Travel Tips:
    1. Take your kids in the car wherever you go. They’ll get used to being in the car and will be easier to deal with on long trips.
    2. Have lots and lots of stuff for them to play with. Preferrably, have one set of toys that you ONLY use in the car. It will seem new and different.

(but the real secret is to become a really good cook so everyone will want to come to YOUR house and then you won’t HAVE to travel – LOL)

  17. Auriette says:

My mom traveled a lot with me as a small child (and all my life growing up). She always kept small toys and books and would give me a new one if I got restless. She also carried single servings of finger foods in baggies or Tupperware. Of course, this was long before portable DVD players, iPods, and computers to entertain children in cars! We would have family sing-a-longs of childrens songs or Christmas carols. When I got older, we would make lists for each other of things to look for (hotel with swimming pool, church, cow) — once I put on my mom’s list “Blue Toyota” and it took hours to spot one. I had long since finished my list and started helping her. We still joke about that!

Make it as comfy as possible, so they will take lots of naps in the car. Car rides tend to make kids sleepy.

    2) Print out and carry with you a list of your most frequently called numbers (including doctors!), in case your cellphone is lost or damaged.

First plan your trip around feeding and nap schedules.Put together a special trip bag, with a few toys, books, homemade sing-along tapes, and treats.
Keep napkins in your glove compartment.Pack a small diaper bag with just the necessities for diaper changes. It’s hard enough changing a diaper on a cold, unfamiliar table without having sippy cups and bibs falling to the floor

    1) Make frequent stops
    2) At every stop, check the diaper and feed the baby. Make the toddler go to the bathroom even if he/she says that it is unneccesary.
    3) Bag snack foods in snack bags before leaving the house. Also bring prepackaged drinks.
