Nothing is too chaotic this year for us. In the past we have traveled to my in-laws or my parents house for Christmas. This year we are actually staying in our home and my in-laws will visit us intead. That will save us the headache of a 10 hour car ride with kids.

Life is always chaotic this time of year. But this year has been a lot harder and chaotic.
No plans for traveling on Christmas, have had a tragic death recently in the immediate family.

I have 3 teens –who want very specific items—Half the items I purchase then 2 weeks later they let me know they no longer have that item–or i order size small and get an extra large—then i have family all over the country to send gifts to. My husband and his brother (who has no other family) who both tell you they don’t want anything —-then 2 days before Christmas they realize they want the hottest game of the year the one that’s been sold out for weeks.

I will be visiting local family members…can’t travel due to work obligations
We’re staying home
We are going to a friend’s house, about an hour away.
Every year for the past 10 or so years, we spend Christmas Eve at my parents (1/2 a mile away), spend the night at home, have the kids open the presents Christmas morning, let them grab their favorite gift or two and drive 2 1/2 hours away to spend it with the inlaws. In March, we lost my mother-in-law so this year, we are going to just stay home and enjoy eachother’s company. It’s a big change, but I think it will be nice to relax for once, on Christmas.

Just spending time with the family who we havent seen in a while and trying to finish up on last minute shopping
we are going down to GA for a weekend to visit friends and then back up to IL to see the family! exhausting!
chaotic here- nothing out of the ordinary- we’re staying home! Getting ready for Christmas itself for a large family is chaotic enough.

All of our family lives close by so no travel plans for christmas. We are going to sanibel florida after holidays. I’m hoping for a stress free flight but with a 20 mnth old I don’t see it happening!
