They do cost more when they are built up, but if you need a powerful laptop that is easy to move and use, then the DV series is a great choice. I never thought I would use a laptop in class, but after Kristin got this DV2, its perfect for portability. I have used our DV6000 for class before, but it was too much in size and weight (its your standard sized 15 in widescreen laptop.) The DV is not too much bigger than your standard laptop, but having this lightweight and fast computer makes doing work on the go, a snap. The DV line of computers are pretty powerful.
